Long time Illinois State University administrator Jude Boyer has died. Boyer served as ISU's Associate Vice President for Student Affairs from the mid-70s until her retirement in 2000. During her tenure, Boyer was credited with helping create the winter commencement ceremonies in 1995. She remained active at ISU after her retirement serving on the boards of the Illinois Annuitant's Association and University Club, an unofficial social organization of former ISU employees. Jude Boyer died of a heart attack Sunday December 23 in Bloomington. She was 74 years old. Funeral services are planned in her native Des Moines, Iowa. Memorial services in Bloomington are pending.
