The 14 year old boy who brought guns and a knife to Normal Community High School and held classmates hostage has pleaded guilty to several charges in connection with the September incident. He could be sentenced to up to seven years in juvenile prison January 22nd. The teen also pleaded he is mentally ill and that will be assessed before sentencing. In spite of threats and several shots during the hostage taking incident, no one was harmed. A health teacher and other students in the class overpowered and disarmed the boy.
