The Cook County State's Attorney's office says state Sen. Donne Trotter has been charged a felony for allegedly trying to board an aircraft with a weapon. Spokeswoman Tandra Simonton said Wednesday that the Chicago Democrat was charged with a Class 4 felony. Simonton wouldn't reveal any more information, including whether the gun was loaded. Trotter is expected in Cook County bond court on Thursday.
