Two weeks after the election, results in tight McLean board races are now official, with democrats making inroads. Julie Brandt unseated Republican Diane Bostic in District three by just 8 votes out of nearly 6,000 cast. And fellow democrat Victoria Harris was named the winner in District 7 over incumbent Bette Rackauskas by 36 votes. The McLean County Board voted yesterday to hold the line on taxes by using a one time diversion of $200,000 from the tuberculosis program as part of a $350,00 cut in expenses. The TB program will dip into reserves to maintain services.
