The woman nominated by Ronald Reagan to serve on the US Supreme Court is being named an honorary Reagan fellow at the Republican President's Alma Mater, Eureka College. The ceremony is scheduled for April 9th at the Woodford County College. Sandra Day O'Conner joins former Soviet Leader Mikhail Gorbachev, and former Attorney General Edwin Meese as recipents of the honor. OíConnor was the first woman to serve on the US Supreme Court. She retired in 2006. O'Connor is founder and chairwoman of iCivics Incorprated, an online program aimed at middle school students that offers free games and lesson plans promoting civic education and involvement.
