$2.4 million now seized in Operation Storefront drug investigation

Bloomington Police say continued investigation into alleged fake marijuana sales at Global Tobacco stores in Bloomington-Normal, and Champaign has resulted in additional charges and seizures of more money The charges against four men now include drug conspiracy, and money laundering, in addition to controlled substance selling allegations. Officers say they have seized an additional $1.4 million on top of the original million in cash undergoing asset forfeiture procedures. Authorities say they have also found 6,100 packets of the drug labeled Blue Heaven as part of the Operation Storefront investigation.
