Bloomington Police say they captured a bank robber only eleven minutes after he demanded money from Commerce bank branch tellers on North Center street. Officers say there was no weapon displayed when the man passed a note demanding money. The suspect fled south and officers spotted a man matching the description of the robber entering a convenience store on Oakland Avenue. When they approached, officers say 49-year old Clifton Smith of Bloomington told them, "you got me." Police say Smith still had an undisclosed amount of money from the bank on his person.
