New sexual harassment and abuse policies are being phased into the University of Illinois campuses. Employees are being made aware of the changes through email today. Back-ground checks and sex-offender registry reviews will be done on more employees than previously. Workers will go through sexual harassment awareness training every three years. Transfer students and freshmen will also undergo an orientation on the matter. And there will be more regulations regarding events involving minors and where they are allowed to go on each campus.
