McLean County Sheriff's Police and units from other four other law enforcement agencies say a 30-year old rural Gridley man is accused of beating up his girlfriend and firing a gun numerous times. The woman fled the area as she was calling for help. Sheriff Mike Emery says Curtis Cleary is in custody after the incident Sunday morning facing charges of Aggravated Domestic Battery, Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. The State Police tactical response team surrounded the house before capturing Cleary without incident. The woman was treated and released from a hospital.
