Contaminated soil from an old leaking underground storage tank is changing the parking lot plans at a Rogy's Daycare Center in Normal. The owners of Rogy's on South Main Street had wanted water permeable bricks for the parking lot, but the EPA nixed the idea to prevent inhalation and ingestion of the contaminated soil from a gas station that used to be on the site. The EPA says only an asphalt or cement parking lot will provide enough protection for the children.
