State Farm Insurance says it has now helped more than 81,000 policy holders start the recovery process from Hurricane Sandy. The latest combined home and auto claims numbers from the storm show rapid growth over the weekend as residents catalog their losses and file for help with the Bloomington based company. Claims are concentrated in three or four county areas in several states including New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and even Connecticut. State Farm says it has placed mobile claims offices in those heavily impacted areas. More than 68,000 claims are for home damage and nearly 13,000 relate to auto coverage.
