The Miller Park Zoo has added a female snow leopard to its animal library. Director Jay Tezloff says he hopes the two and a half year old female named Hima will become the mate of the Bloomington zoo's male snow leopard. Hima comes from the Bronx Zoo to be a part of the snow leopard conservation breeding program. There are about 150 leopards in captivity at 60 North American institutions. They are native to the mountains of central Asia.
