A Task Force Six investigation in DeWitt County has resulted in two drug conspiracy arrests. 54-year old John Smith and 52-year old Mary Smith, both of Clinton, also face money laundering and cocaine possession charges. Officers also allege the two were selling drugs within a thousand feet of a school, which enhances the charges. A conviction could bring a sentence of up to 30 years in prison. Task Force Six is a multi agency unit that specializes in drug enforcement.
