The City of Bloomington is no longer a place dominated by conservative voters. That's according to a new poll done by Illinois Wesleyan University Students that shows a slight edge to Democrats. According to political scientist Tari Renner it is the first time this has happened....

Four years ago, a majority of voters supported Barack Obama. Renner says party self identification tends to lag actual voting patterns. Renner is running for Mayor of Bloomington and says to avoid conflicts of interest he polled only national questions. He says likely voters in Bloomington also mirror national numbers on guns, gay marriage, abortion, and global warming.
