Illinois State University Trustees will consider spending another million dollars on the Hancock Stadium project. Back in February, the board approved a $25 million expenditure. Bids came in higher than expected because more steel is needed in the new grandstands on the east side of the field and because of volatility in the construction market. ISU leaders now want authorization to move forward with elements taken out of the project to stay under the original cap. Those include a Public Announcement System, signage, furnishings for the club areas and suites, and other equipment for food preparation.
