Tool library comes to twin cities An Illinois Weslyan University student hopes to help low income people build community one tool at a time. Junior student Matt LaLonde says he hopes more affluent people will also use the library of tools he is putting together as part of the West Bloomington Revitalization Project. LaLonde says this would be the first tool library in Illinois, though some urban areas in other states have them...


LaLonde says tool libraries have improved community relationships as well as homes and gardens by creating a place for people to gather and learn as well as help each other. He says like a book library, the tool library will provide a free selection of tools for check out. A tool drive to help build the library's collection starts October 20th at the revitalization project offices on Washington Street.
