Jason Chambers has been sworn in as McLean County State's Attorney. Chambers took over from interim appointee and retired Judge Ron Dozier. Dozier was appointed before the primary last winter because the County Board did not wish to take a stand on two candidates running against each other. The original vacancy happened when top prosecutor Bill Yoder resigned to be appointed Associate Judge. Chambers won the GOP primary and is unopposed in next month's general election. Following Chamber's oath of office, all the assistant prosecutors renewed their oaths to uphold the constitutions of the state of Illinois and the United States as well.
