The city of Bloomington is asking the federal government for a delay in building a new east side park. City Manager David Hales says they eventually want to put in new green space and recreational facilities in the Eagle View South subdivision east of Towanda Barnes Road and north of GE Road.

The city has received a $400,000 grant toward the million dollar project. The city is currently working on final design and bid documents and hopes to bid the park construction next year.
