Youthbuild programs in Normal and Peoria are benefitting from a $5.1 million dollar federal grant. Each community gets $1.1 million. The rest of the funding goes to Youthbuilds in Cairo, Godfrey and Chicago. Youthbuild helps teens who've left school acquire a GED or diploma while learning a construction trade.
