The Archdiocese of Chicago says Cardinal Francis George will undergo chemotherapy for the next four months but will continue with his regular work schedule. In a news release, the archdiocese says tests show cancer cells were found in his right kidney and that a nodule on his liver contained cancerous cells. But the archdiocese says there doesn't appear to be cancer on the cardinal's liver now. The release says tests did not reveal cancer anywhere else in the cardinal's body. The archdiocese says chemotherapy will begin Sept. 5 at Loyola University Medical Center and that the cardinal would undergo six chemotherapy sessions during the next four months. The 75-year-old George survived bladder cancer six years ago.
