Police in Normal have arrested a 23-year old Bloomington man in connection with the shooting of a female ISU student. Marshall Smith is being held on a million dollars bond in the McLean County jail. Detectives booked Smith for Aggravated Battery and Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm near an official building or a school. The shooting happened August 18th in the 700 block of North Adelaide. The young woman sustained severe, though authorities report not life threatening injuries.
