The Town of Normal is moving forward with plans to introduce a limited service hotel across the street from the Marriott as a part of the new Uptown One complex. Nielson says plans for Uptown include quality, and that quality comes with a price. City Manager Mark Peterson says he talked with the Marriott G-M who says he is nervous, but admits the conference center is bigger than the Mariott can provide.
