Convicted child molester Jerry Sandusky wants State Farm Insurance to pay for his legal defense. Sandusky has filed a claim for coverage of his criminal trial and for a separate case filed by one of Sandusky's victims under his homeowner policy. State Farm has filed a suit in federal court seeking a judge's ruling that the Bloomington-based company should not have to pay because Sandusky's acts were intentional. Homeowner policies mainly cover negligent acts, not acts of knowing commission. The filing indicates State Farm wants a judgment to that effect. A spokesman for State Farm says the company would rather not comment on pending litigation and will let the suit speak for itself.
