The Bloomington City Council is expected to consider a new drought ordinance tonight. Water Department Director Craig Cummings it would define when the city's water restrictions would go into effect. He says the city is working with Illinois State University to determine how much water is actually in the reservoirs. Lake Bloomington and Evergreen Lake are down about five feet, combined. Cummings says levels during the drought year of 1988 were down about 11 feet, and the community didn't have the additional supply in the Evergreen Lake reservoir like it has now.
