The managers of U-S Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington say there are several options to preserve basketball and football teams at the downtown venue. Jim Morris announced this week he is interested in selling the Bloomington Drive basketball team and the EDGE football team because he lacks time to devote to other business interests. Central Illinois Arena Management President John Butler says he's discussed those intentions with the Indoor Football League and the Premier Basketball League. Butler says both organizations have had multiple inquiries about ownership stakes, so it's possible Morris could sell to those interests. Butler also says other leagues may be interested in bringing franchises to the Coliseum based on the market size and success of the facility.
