McLean County Prosecutors say the owner of the BP gas station in Lexington should lose his property because the station was used to deal drugs. The State's Attorney's office has filed asset forfeiture proceedings against Kuldeep Chatha of Naperville, Illinois. That stems from the arrest of Dinesh Patel at the gas station in February for selling cocaine and another synthetic narcotic known as K-2 spice. A month later the owner was also arrested on a warrant for selling drugs. Both men are out on bond awaiting trial. Sheriff Mike Emery says the attempt to seize the gas station sends a message that you don't have the right to sell chemicals that harms the minds and health of youth.
