A Peoria man who currently has to walk from his downtown home to his job in East Peoria wants to see Sunday busses. Peoria, like Bloomington-Normal, does not run busses on Sundays. 54 year old Gregory Johnson has already collected over 650 signatures on a petition to get CityLink busses on the road Sundays. He works at a Kroger in East Peoria and says the walk's especially tough on cold winter nights. Peoria's bus system has been urged to provide mass transit on Sunday's before, but has said there aren't enough riders to justify the expense.
