Two months after a kerfuffle over appointments to the McLean County Ethics Commission, a couple board members are still not happy with the nominees. George Wendt and Chuck Erickson originally argued against having County Party Chairs appointed to seats on the commission that considers potential gift ban act violations by County office holders. Now, Wendt says the new appointments weren't done the right way either.

Board member Diane Bostic flatly disagrees.

Board Chairman Matt Sorenson says media coverage of the flap and the awareness of both party chairs of available seats still drew only five resumes. Democrat Dan Liechty, Republican Lane Hansen, and Independent Herman Brandau were appointed.
