Both Wisconsin and Indiana have Republican governors who've taken on unions over wages, benefits and even the right to organize. Illinois is considered a union friendly state, but lately unions have been taking it on the chin, sometimes from the very Democrats who they helped get elected. Governor Pat Quinn's proposing cuts to state pensions and thousands of unionized state workers could lose their jobs at prisons and state mental health facilities.
