It's almost time to load up on fresh food and local goods at the Illinois State Fairgrounds. The Illinois Products Farmers' Market opens in Springfield this week and there are some changes this year. Fair officials say Springfield Clinic is a title sponsor and doctors from there will offer health screenings and educational programs throughout the summer. The market will be open every Thursday evening starting this week. It ends October 18th and won't be open two Thursdays in August during the Illinois State Fair. The market offers the public numerous products that are either processed or produced in Illinois. That includes meat, eggs, honey, baked goods, herbs and wine.
