Proposed route changes for the Bloomington-Normal Public Transit System could come at the expense of the Teal J bus line. The B-NPTS Board of Trustees is reviewing the preliminary draft of new routes around the Twin Cities. Eliminating the low performing Teal J line will give room to enhance the other lines. B-NPTS Safety and Training Director Dave White says with the new proposal, customers will see a more reliable service and a shorter wait for the bus:
"We're shooting for a 30 minute headway on all routes, so you never have to wait more than 30 minutes for on a bus route anywhere in town."
The Board will hold a public hearing on the proposals, and plans to roll out the finalized bus routes in August.
