Those comprising the Occupy BloNo movement are protesting the apparent act of arson over the weekend that destroyed the group's lone-remaining tent at the ISU campsite. Jennifer Carrillo was among those carrying signs at the Milner Library plaza. She says she understands those who might disagree with a mostly-unoccupied tent being used as a symbol of the occupy movement.
Carrillo says the incident has strengthened the movement's resolve.
ISU police suspect arson in the early Sunday morning incident in which no one was apparently injured. Carrillo says the Occupy BloNo movement is beginning to shift focus.
Carrillo says the occupy movement is spawning the Direct Democracy Project, which focuses on measuring success in accomplishing change. The initial meeting is May first at Withers Park in Bloomington.
