ISU hires new Education College Dean

Illinois State University has chosen the new Dean of the College of Education. Perry Schoon will replace Deborah Curtis who is retiring next month. Schoon is currently the dean of the College of Education and Allied Professions at Western Carolina University. he has also held positions at the University of Texas and Florida Atlantic University. He is an ISU alumnus, earning both bachelor and Ph.D. in Normal. Provost Sherry Everts says Shoon is an accomplished and experienced educator and leader and will further enhance the reputation of ISU's College of Education.
