The Winnebago County coroner says an Illinois Wesleyan student who died last month after a fraternity event was killed by hypothermia.   The Coroner's report also says drinking likely contributed to the death of 18-year-old Brandon Landau, but only because he apparently passed out in a creek. The student from New York was found face-down in the creek at the edge of White Pines State Park in northern Illinois. His Sigma Pi fraternity has been suspended by Illinois Wesleyan for three years. A school task force also is studying possible changes in policies for off-campus events.
