The City of Bloomington has hired a new finance director. 43-year old Patti-Lynn Silva is a native of Connnecticut and has 11 years in municipal government finance. She is a CPA and has also spent time as a municipal auditor for McGladrey and Pullin, assistant finance director for Stratford, Connecticut, and Finance Director for Cheshire, Connecticut. Cheshire Town Manager Michael Milone says Silva helped the town achieve two credit rating upgrades. She replaces Tim Ervin who has become the city's performance auditor and budget officer.
