State Republican Party Chair Pat Brady has mentioned State Representative Dan Brady as a possible candidate for Congress in the 13th District. Dan Brady says he will be evaluating lot of factors before he decides whether to try to make that leap including his own growing seniority in the State House.
Brady says he also recently took on a new business venture as a partner in a funeral home. Brady says the 13th district includes very little of McLean County and the appointment as the GOP nominee will be done in a vote by County Party Chairs weighted by population.
Brady says he is flattered to be mentioned as a possible replacement on the GOP Congressional ballot for the retiring Representative Tim Johnson. Brady says he hopes the nod will go to the candidate best able to win the 13th for the GOP in November.
