Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me! Bus Trip

$170 person (includes round trip charter bus to Chicago, lunch, dinner, the live taping of Wait, Wait, free time in the City, and gratuities)

*NOTE: the date is subject to change, based on their show schedule. You'll be notified at least 5 weeks out, if we have to change the date. It will still be on a Thursday and will be as close to the original date as possible.

Grab a seat on the bus for our annual day trip to the Windy City, in partnership with Heartland Community College's Continuing Education program. You'll ride in comfort to Chicago on a charter bus while you enjoy a boxed lunch from Kelly's Bakery. We arrive in the Chicago loop early enough for a couple hours of free time on your own for shopping and sightseeing. You'll even have a choice of drop-off locations between Water Tower Place and State Street south of the river.

We'll meet up again for a delicious dinner in the charming Elephant & Castle English pub, where you'll choose your entree from burgers or pot pie, to salads, to fish & chips. Included with dinner is one adult beverage or soft drink of your choice, dessert, and gratuity. (Additional beverages available for purchase.)

We're close enough to walk to Chase Auditorium, if the weather is good, or you can choose to be dropped off at the door by our bus. The live taping of Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me! is 2 hours, giving you an additional hour of hilarity that doesn't make it to the live show. The Chase Auditorium is small enough for everyone to have an excellent and comfortable seat.

After the show, the bus will pick us up at the front door for the return trip to Normal. We'll leave from and return to the parking lot by Heartland Community College's Workforce Development Center. You'll receive maps and an itinerary with ticket purchase.

You must be 18 or older to participate in this trip and 21 to consume alcoholic beverages.

When ordering your tickets, you'll be asked to choose a lunch option from Turkey/pesto sandwich, Black Russian sandwich (roast beef, turkey, provolone, Russian dressing), or Candied Pecan salad (vegetarian). Lunches come with assorted chips, a cookie, and bottled water.
