Firefighters in Normal are investigating flames that destroyed three Unit Five School buses parked in the transportation center on Eagle road. Others received significant damage. Firefighters estimate damage at more than $285,000. A motorist on I-55 alerted the fire department during the early morning hours. Firefighters say one bus caught on fire and the flames spread to the others. Several buses will only require cleaning from smoke.
