Radio Munson 1/7/16

Benny Goodman is generally regarded as the guy who introduced what became the “Swing Era” in 1935, but Duke Ellington’s Orchestra recorded a pre-cursor three years earlier.  Don spins the original 1932 Ellington recording “It Don’t Mean a Thing If It Ain’t Got That Swing” on this week’s Radio Munson, along with Sarah Vaughan, Jeff Lindberg’s Chicago Jazz Orchestra, and the Hot Club of Cowtown.
