Peoria Man Lured Children Into Porn Ring

Federal prosecutors say a Peoria man enticed at least seven minors to have sex with him based on false claims he was a pornography performer.

24-year old Jordan Salem has pleaded guilty to production of child porn and will be sentenced to 35 years in federal prison in late September. According to court documents, Salem created several false identities on Facebook using another person's picture and solicited naked photos and sexual acts from women and minors. The documents also indicate Salem was registered as a sex offender in Illinois after pleading guilty to a 2012 statutory rape charge in Tennessee.

Prosecutors say Salem claimed an internet web site would pay the women thousands of dollars and that their identities would not be revealed. In all, prosecutors say Salem enticed 28 females to send him sexually explicit photos and 22 of them into having sex.

He did not pay any of them what they were promised.
