Penn Gains New Term In National Laborers Union Leadership

Bloomington labor leader John Penn has been elected to another term as a Vice President of the Laborers International Union of North America.

Penn became one of 14 Vice Presidents of the Union in 2008 and has now been elected to his second five year term.

Penn also serves as Midwest Regional Manager for the Laborers International. That covers ten  Midwestern states and 58,000 members.    

In his previous service Penn has emphasized addressing the problems of veterans who are also union members and overseen apprenticeship and training programs in the region.

He is an Air Force veterans and became a union member in 1965.
