Officers Hurt After Overnight Arrest In Bloomington

The incident happened just after midnight near Oakland Avenue and Evans Street, just southeast of downtown Bloomington.

Three Bloomington Police officers suffered minor injuries while trying to arrest a suspect overnight.

The incident happened just after midnight near Oakland Avenue and Evans Street, just southeast of downtown Bloomington. Police made contact with a 22-year-old walking in the area. Police said he fought with officers after they moved to arrest him. The man had a gun but no shots were fired, police said. He was arrested pending formal charges.

The officers were treated and released with minor injuries, police said.
