McLean County Health Dept. Seeks Resident Data

The McLean County Health Department wants to know who you are. The department is sending out questionnaires, and going door-to-door collecting data on residents. The Health Department's Lisa Slater said that can include things like non-ambulatory residents, hearing problems, or language difficulties. "If we're able to have a better understanding of where populations of people with specific functional needs or access needs live, we're in a better position to have materials and assistance for them." Slater said other valuable data could include transportation needs too. The surveys began going out on Friday, and Slater says the information will be back in early June. The Health Department's working with the Illinois State University Department of Geography-Geology and GEOMAP on the project.
