Mid Central Community Action is partnering with Commonwealth Edison for another year of low-income energy assistance for customers in Livingston County that meet income eligibility guidelines.

MCCA's Matt Drat said income levels are set rather liberally for the program.

"Household income can be up to 250 percent of the poverty level. For example, for a family of four, that income level can be as high as $61,500," said Drat.

This is the third year for the assistance program. Drat said to be eligible this year, participants must not have enrolled last year.

"We don't really know how much we have available, so we are encourage people to contact us as quickly as possible," said Drat.

Anyone who wants to inquire about the program should email MCCA at liheap.livco@mccainc.org or call 309-834-9283.

Drat said similar programs are already running for this year for McLean County customers of Ameren Illinois.
