Illinois State University is looking beyond its campus to find its next top academic officer.
ISU announced Wednesday the four finalists to become provost and vice president for Academic Affairs. The list includes:
- Risa Dickson, a professor and former administrator at the University of Hawaii system
- Steve Everett, a University of Illinois at Chicago dean
- Rodney Hanley, provost at Fisk University in Nashville
- Lynda Brown-Wright, a professor and former administrator at Kentucky State
ISU's last permanent provost was Janet Krejci, who was ISU's nursing dean before she got the top job. She left ISU in 2016 for a position at Marquette. Jan Murphy has served as interim provost ever since.
The four finalists will be on campus for separate open forums, starting Feb. 8. See the full schedule.
