The Illinois Symphony Orchestra is going to the Proms. This has nothing to do with fancy dresses, corsages, and the annual high school ritual. Alastair Willis talks with us about tonight's concert which comes from a very different tradition, the promenade concert series in London....which has a number of interesting traditions the ISO will try to bring to staid, laid back Bloomington-Normal, and Springfield.

Illinois Symphony Orchestra Music Director Alastair Willis talking with us about tonight's performance at the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts.

You heard various performances from the last night of the proms concert series by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London from 2004 and 2009. And you're listening to Andre Rieu play the Last Rose of Summer in Dublin with his orchestra.
