Herndon On Lincoln

McLean County Museum of History

Abraham Lincoln scholars now have a new critical resource, and casual fans of the 16th President can find out more about him in the words of his law partner. A newly edited volume of letters by Thomas Herndon offers insight into Lincoln's time. Douglas Wilson is the co-editor of the book now out from the U of I Press. Wilson speaks Saturday at noon at the McLean County Museum of History.

With such a well trodden topic as Lincoln,  authors have to really work on their curatorial sensibility to bring something new to the table. How did you approach that task in this collection?

Douglas Wilson is the Co-Editor of "Herndon on Lincoln - Letters," out from the U of I Press. Wilson and Rodney O. Davis are also co-directors of the Lincoln studies Center at Knox College in Galesburg.
