Heartland Community College says it hopes to find a new president by April or May.
Trustees Vice Chair Jeff Flessner will chair the search committee to replace the retiring Rob Widmer.
The timeline announced by Heartland includes consulting campus and community stakeholders until mid-November on what kind of president the community college needs next. Evaluation of candidates will begin in January.
Finalists will begin interviews in March.
The college is using a search consultant, Jerry Israel of Academic Search Inc.
