You’ve probably heard of a “one-party state,” but what about a "one-man party"?

One man setting the agenda. One man calling the shots. And perhaps most importantly - one man - writing the checks.

As Illinois Republicans rallied in Springfield  Wednesday, it was obvious that one man is the driving force behind the state GOP. And as IPR's Brian Mackey reports, party members seem thrilled.

When Republicans rallied at the Fair, it was as though they were on that classic game show "Password," where no one was allowed say the name of their party's presidential nominee. Yesterday, however, Democrats took the opposite tack, saying the name again and again.

IPR's Brian Mackey also tells us about what you might call the Democratic Party's Donald Trump strategy.
