Drengwitz Named New NCHS Football Coach

Mar 13, 2018

Both Unit 5 high schools now have new head football coaches.

Normal Community High School announced Monday that Jason Drengwitz has been named the program’s 24th head coach. He’s been an assistant coach for 14 years.

The Pontiac native succeeds Wes Temples, who resigned after last season. Drengwitz, 42, teaches business, business law, and sports and entertainment marketing at NCHS.

Drengwitz’s hiring must be approved by Unit 5’s school board, which meets Wednesday.

Across town at Normal West, Nathan Fincham was recently named head coach.
